About the Project
Chess is a game based entirely on logic and strategy, with almost no element of chance. This makes it highly competitive and engaging for players of a certain skill level, as every move is based on planning and foresight. However, when there is a significant skill gap between players, the game can become one-sided and less enjoyable. For example, a strong player competing against a beginner may find the game unchallenging, while the beginner may quickly lose interest.
This project aims to introduce a degree of randomness to chess, making it more dynamic and accessible to a wider audience. Designed as a chess-based strategic card game, this system enhances traditional chess by allowing pieces to gain special abilities through unique cards. Players can use these cards to modify piece movements, create unexpected strategies, or gain tactical advantages that would not be possible in standard chess.By incorporating this card-based mechanic, the game maintains the fundamental strategic depth of chess while adding an element of unpredictability. Increasing the number of cards in play enhances the role of chance, while limiting them can create a more controlled balance. This approach ensures a fun, competitive, and surprising experience for both newcomers and seasoned players alike.
